Nexus 2000/3000 - Nexus Eazy

The Nexus 2000 and Nexus 3000 are Evolution Aqua’s established filter system incorporating the industry proven Kaldnes Moving Bed™ coupled with the now recognised ‘Answer’ mechanical filter and the new ‘fines polisher with air backwash’.

The Answer, launched 4 years ago, is a mechanical self backwashing screen which is low maintenance and will run for weeks before having to be cleaned. Combined, they provide outstanding water clarity and quality. These are for use on gravity fed systems. It is extremely easy to clean and maintain. The Answer sits in the central vortex chamber of the Nexus and prevents all solids over 200 microns from entering the biological stage.  The Answer is robustly engineered out of stainless steel and a proven technology within the industry. 

The pump that provides the power and cleaning action, draws filtered water from inside the Answer.  It is then pumped into a hollow rotor arm.  At each end of the arm are nozzles angled at 45 degress.  Water pumped through these nozzles cause the arm to rotate.  Water is forced out at high pressure against the inside of the screen continuously, causing the water to backwash through the screen to the outside.  The result is that particles lodged on the outside,which are naturally trying to get through, are forced away and eventually settle out at the bottom of the central chamber.  Here, they can be drained to waste.
